The pharmacy in the premises of a beauty treatment offered violates the provisions of Apothekenbetriebsordnung (VG Minden, 26 01.11, 7 K n.rkr 1647/10, provisional). Complained
had a pharmacist who operates a branch pharmacy. Upstairs they offer cosmetic treatments such as exfoliation, relaxation massage, eyebrow shaping and manicure. The room is accessed via an outside staircase and through a hallway from which to achieve further pharmacy premises.
According to the VG Minden this room design violates the pharmacy factory order because it was feared that the pharmacy transform into a beauty salon and would endanger the order, the medicines to the population. The Court based this assessment, including on the website of the pharmacist.
Whether cosmetic treatments are allowed in separate rooms was not the subject of the proceeding.
